Town failed to take the chance to six points clear at the top of the table after losing 2-1 to Watford. The Blues were under par throughout and the visitors went ahead via Jay Demerit's header just before the break, Bruce Dyer adding to their lead prior to a late Tommy Miller penalty.

A 10-man Town reserve side were unlucky to fall to a 1-0 defeat against Leicester in gale force conditions at Playford Road. Keeper Lewis Price was the star, saving a penalty after sub Jerrome Sobers had been sent off for a professional foul, and making a string of other impressive stops.

Town battled their way to a 2-1 win over Leicester in atrocious conditions at Portman Road. Strong winds and rain throughout made things difficult but the Blues were two ahead inside 25 minutes through Shefki Kuqi and a Mark De Vries own goal. Jordan Stewart netted a freekick late on for the Foxes.
